A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens

I have endeavoured in this Ghostly little book, to raise the Ghost of an Idea, which shall not put my readers out of humour with themselves, with each other, with the season, or with me.

Their faithful Friend and Servant,

Information on Show

Celebrate the holidays with Music Theatre of Denton's staging of this timeless Dickens classic and recapture the spirit of an old-fashioned Christmas. UNT Dance & Theatre Arts, Music Theatre of Denton, and UNT Fine Arts Series co-present A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens.

It's a tradition that keeps getting better! Denton County families get into the joyous Christmas spirit this year when 19th Century London comes to life with all the familiar Dickens characters - Tiny Tim, Bob Cratchit, the Fezziwigs and old Ebenezer Scrooge himself. A Christmas Carol will be performed for the public beginning on December 12th (Friday) at 8:00 p.m.  Performances continue December 13, 18-20 at 8 p.m. as well as December 14th (Sunday) at 2:30 p.m. Performances will be held in the University Theatre on the corner of Welch & Chestnut Streets in Denton, Texas. The University Theatre is inside the Radio, TV, Film & Performing Arts building on the UNT campus. Tickets to Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol are on sale beginning December 1 and cost $12 for the general public, $10 for UNT faculty and staff, $6 for all students and for senior citizens and children. Discounts are available for groups of 20 or more. The box office is located in the lobby of the University Theatre and is open Monday through Friday, 1 - 5 p.m. Tickets may also be purchased with a credit card by calling (940) 565-2428. Due to high demand, only paid reservations will be taken, and no refunds will be issued. Tickets will be on sale "at the door" beginning one hour prior to each performance.

Order your tickets now or call the University Theatre Box Office at 940-565-2428.
