About Music Theatre of Denton
Music Theatre of Denton is celebrating its 21st season committed to providing a professional-level musical theatre experience for audience members and participants alike.Music Theatre of Denton is an organization that provides opportunities for both experienced and inexperienced local talent (professional and amateur) to participate in a high-quality musical theatre experience. We also provide an opportunity with many of our shows for parents and grandparents to bring children to a musical production that is within a child's ability to understand and which introduces them to theatre in a very enjoyable way.
An MTD season consists of four main stage productions, several free concerts (including Denton Arts and Jazz Festival, and the Denton Parks and Recreation's Starrise series), educational programs in the public schools, and caroling groups during the Christmas season. We also present two major fundraisers during the year, our Midwinter Feast and our summer community-wide musical. MTD is a non-profit organization of volunteers guided by a Governing Board and Production Board and supported by members, contributors, and grantors.
